YOUR TOUR DIRECTOR
college paper Peter Whaley (owner/operator) of Coastal Spirit Expeditions is no stranger to the outdoors. At a very early age he found his sea legs and became as comfortable on the water as he did on land. Now, some 30 years later, he is an accomplished kayaker, canoeist, cyclist and skier. Peters extensive trip log has taken him to some of the most beautiful places in the world.
Peter is a graduate of the Adventure Travel Guide Program at the University College of the Cariboo in British Columbia and now holds many certifications, some of which include:
ACSKG (Association of Canadian Sea Kayak Guides)
SKGABC(Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of British Columbia)
SRT (Swift Water Rescue Technician) Instructor with Rescue 3 International
SAR (Search and Rescue) manager with PEP (Rrovincial Emergency Program)
A strong medical background in Paramedics and Advanced Wilderness first aid compliments his extensive, practical experience. Photography is also a passion, as every trip is documented and captured through his various lenses. |

The Murray House: Each of the
following three multi-day tours will begin with a festive pre-trip evening spent at our
century old heritage home and end there with a celebration of Maritime proportions. |

NORTHUMBERLAND
STRAIT Sand, sun
and surf make up the gentle coastline of the north shore of Nova Scotia where we enjoy
some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. Quaint fishing villages decorate this
coastline giving you the feel of what Maritime life is all about. The gradual slope of the
sea bottom leaves a rich and abundant tidal zone, home to shoreline birds and ducks unique
to the region. It also provides a staging area for Bald Eagles and Osprey. Seal colonies,
playful porpoises and the odd pod of pilot whales can also be spotted in the
Northumberland Strait.
DATES: June 4-9, June 25-30, July 16-21, Aug. 6-11, Aug. 24-29, Aug. 27-Sept.1
COST: $ 895 incl. tax |

THE BAY OF FUNDY
Cape Chignecto Here you will find the extremes of
Nova Scotia. The area not only boasts the highest cliffs on mainland Nova Scotia and some
of the largest whales in the world; it is also home to the highest tides on the planet.
These extreme tides will leave you with two distinct pictures of the same place, making it
one of the most remarkable regions to paddle.
DATES: June 11-16, July 2-7, July 23-28, Aug. 13-18, Sept. 3-8
COST: $ 995 incl. tax |

CAPE BRETON
HIGHLANDS Reminiscent
of northern Scotland: rugged coastlines, dramatic valleys and sheer beauty make up the
northern tip of Cape Breton Island. Some of the most spectacular vistas anywhere in the
world are found here. With majestic bald eagles and osprey soaring above, and pilot whales
chasing mackeral below, each corner holds another breathtaking image.
DATES: June 18-23, July 9-14, July 30-Aug.4, Aug. 20-25, Sept. 10-15
COST: $ 995 incl. tax |
